RIVER4 - An old ship's chain crusted in barnacles forms the foreground interest with the backdrop of the Tees Transporter Bridge. Be careful in this area as I was rescued by my son when I got stuck in the mud and was unable to move!

RIVER29 - Rattle Beck above Glenridding on a damp dismal morning. The gushing torrent has smoothed the front left blue black rocks the peaty tinge in the water adds warmth. The background hills are scarred by old mine workings.

RIVER33 - Above Stainforth Force on the River Ribble, Yorkshire. The warm submerged foregrond stones contrast with the cooler frozen patch around the boulders. The flat stone outcrop to the right has the look of limestone pavement.

RIVERS40 - A bizarre eddy of circular ice discs circle slowly below the falls. A bitterly cold day on Deepdale Beck, Barnard Castle resulting in 2 frozen tripod and various extremities.
